The Eastern Michigan University women's rowing team, practicing on Ford Lake in Ypsilanti Township in this Eastern Echo file photo, is celebrating a new course installed on the lake that will allow Eastern to host multi-team competitions. The celebration includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Friday, April 26, at Ford Lake Park.

Megan Crawshaw, middle blocker, is expected to help the team to victory.

Two wrestlers, redshirt juniors Phillip Joseph and Nick Whitenburg, qualified for the NCAA tournament.

Willie Gadson coached wrestling from 1992-97.

The Eagles have finished in first place twice (2005 and 2006) in the MAC Championship.
