Every Thursday, the Sisterhood Alliance presents Soul Speak in the Student Center from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Kiva Room. Soul Speak is a place for women in minorities to have a safe place to speak on day-to-day issues, or to have that necessary girl chat to ease their minds.
This group is open to the public and completely free. Coming to this group is a great option for those who want a sample of what it would be like to go to CAPS in the Snow Health Center.
Soul Speak is facilitated by Monica Thiagarajan and co-facilitated by Joi Rencher. Both are advocates for empowering women and ensuring not only their emotional health, but also their physical health.
Although the meetings are open to the public, there is still a rule of privacy when it comes to what is discussed. What is talked about in the meetings stays there. Thiagarajan and Rencher ensure confidentiality at these meetings.
Meeting days and times are subject to change for the winter semester. For more information, email Thiagarajan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
