<description>I&#8217;m not sure where you were living in Colorado&#8230; The meat industry in CO (where I&#8217;ve lived all my life) is huge! Thouh it&#8217;s true in Denver and Boulder vegetarians aren&#8217;t unheard of, in the rest of the state it&#8217;s extremely rare. Vegans are practically non-existant.</description>

<description>I&#8217;d just like to point out that the generally accepted figure for the number of animals raised per year for food consumption is not 10 billion but 55 billion &#8230;. and that excludes ocean life. That is around 100,000 per minute every minute of every day. The following website has a counter that shows this graphically by species. I have no connection with this site and similar examples can be found elsewhere&#8230;
