England will advance by beating Slovenia 2 – 0 and Algeria will advance as well beat USA 3 – 1. USA may not have had full ball control, their passing left a lot to be desired and Algeria shut them down often enough, but USA played with more heart and definitley came through- AND their defense was more than adequate to stop the Algerians from scoring. Had it not been for another bad call by the officials (he was clearly on-sides), it would have been a 2-0 game instead… meaning that USA “penetrated” Algerian defense twice and came out looking awesome!.
