The big story from the tied 2-2 U.S. vs. Slovenia game Friday wasn’t the easy goals Slovenia got on keeper Tim Howard. It wasn’t the amazing comeback in the second half that brought the United States from zero to tied at two. It was a single call.

based on what I have seen in this WC. England will advance by beating Slovenia 2 – 0 and Algeria will advance as well beat USA 3 – 1.

US team plays wide open defense which will suit the Algerian team and US team offense wont be able to penetrate Algeria defense.
Watch and learn.

@ cappola:

I did watch, hoped you did and learned something as well! USA may not have had full ball control, their passing left a lot to be desired and Algeria shut them down often enough, but USA played with more heart and definitley came through- AND their defense was more than adequate to stop the Algerians from scoring. Had it not been for another bad call by the officials (he was clearly on-sides), it would have been a 2-0 game instead… meaning that USA “penetrated” Algerian defense twice and came out looking awesome!. So based on what I and the rest of AMERICA saw yesterday, no one can count out USA quite yet… we are still in it!
