Search on for suspect in fatal Ypsilanti Township shooting

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department has named a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man that occurred 4 p.m. Sunday in Ypsilanti Township.

Michael Deshawn Crockett, 20, is wanted in connection with the shooting of Chris King which took place outside of the Kmart located on Washtenaw Avenue.
Officials said King was in a fight with two other individuals and police responded to shots fired near Golfside and Washtenaw.King was shot and collapsed about 200 yards away from Kmart.
Crockett is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes and 130 pounds.
