The Martial Arts Practitioners Club unofficially started in 2021, but was frozen due to members graduating and post-COVID effects. However, after rejuvenating the club last spring, the MMA club is looking for more than just a seat at the sports club table, they are looking to compete with the strength of their fists and the power of their community.
While rain showers caused certain clubs to shut down their tables early, the spirit of Ypsilanti and the Eastern Eagles remain high after a successful Eagle Fest.
The Oxford Dictionary defines art as “the use of the imagination to express ideas or feelings, particularly in painting, drawing, or sculpture.” Eastern Michigan University’s organization; Amplifying the Arts, or AMP, gives students the chance to hone in on their creativity and freedom to express themselves through artistic expression.
