From Nov. 23-Dec. 1, the Ford Gallery in Ford Hall was decorated with a range of artwork by the BFA candidates of Eastern Michigan University’s Art Department. Their show, “Hoplorra” was designed as their capstone thesis where it was to highlight their respective bodies of work.

All you need is a Fairy Godmother and the right shoes to become a Princess. This is what happened to the beautiful, yet poor servant, Cinderella from the classic tale, “Cinderella”. Everyone remembers the 1950’s version of “Cinderella” told by Walt Disney animation, but did you know her story was told in dance before the film? The ballet, Cinderella, was first composed by Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev in 1945.

Creed is the Rocky movie that managed to surprise us, and thankfully this surprise is one that we want to see more of. The movie takes the concept of the underdog that the series is known for and flips it around for the seventh installment in the boxing franchise.

The previous movie in the popular Hunger Games series, Mockingjay Part One, left off with Peeta strangling Katniss due to an injection of tracker jacker venom given to him by the Capital. Mockingjay Part Two started out with a doctor inspecting Katniss’s throat injuries left by Peeta. The plot of the movie centers on Katniss’s goal to kill President Snow.
