Detroit Zoo to display "WIld Lights" exhbit

Tired of the same old “dinner and a movie” date night? Take your guy or gal on a magical and festive date they’ll never forget.

During Nov. 20 – Dec.31, the Detroit Zoo will be hosting “Wild Lights,” a six million LED light show that will be illuminating trees, animal sculptures and buildings all throughout the zoo.

The show runs from 5:30 p.m. until about 9 p.m., with tickets available at the door for $11 or in advance online for only $9. Parking is also available for $6. Purchasing in advance is recommended because tickets are known to sell out quickly, and lines can get quite long at the door.

The event will also be featuring ice carving, arts and crafts, live entertainment, storytelling and seasonal snacks. Santa will also be making an appearance and pictures with him, as well as “Wild Lights” souvenirs, will also be available for purchase.

So grab your date, snag a picture with Santa, walk around the beautiful light display and create memories that will last forever.
