A few days ago, Bleacher Report announced that multiple teams in the NBA were looking to target Pistons guard Derrick Rose for a trade. Teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic are all in dire need of a guard with Rose’s talents and could provide assets in return that would aid the Pistons. First round draft picks and/or young talent would likely be Detroit’s asking price, as Rose is a pivotal piece of their basketball team.

The presidential campaign season started at the beginning of 2019. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar all announced their candidacies for president last February. Joe Biden waited a little longer and announced in April. Michael Bloomberg joined in November, way too late according to many experts. Even Bloomberg’s supposed “late start” means that his campaign, if successful, would operate for just under a year.

Mac Miller, who passed away on Sept. 7, 2018, had his posthumous album “Circles” released on Friday, Jan. 17. Circles is the follow-up to “Swimming,” which came out the month before his death at the age of 26. He was working on “Circles” at the time of his death so friend and producer Jon Brion completed the album with the permission of Mac Miller’s family.

"Bad Boys” is a franchise which first debuted on the big screen in 1995 and was followed by the amazing sequel “Bad Boys 2” in 2003 - which made over $273 million in the box office. A sequel had been in development since the success of the second film, but it never came to fruition due to the main stars' reluctance to mess with an already well-developed story. Fast forward years into the future, we finally have "Bad Boys for Life" - and it did not disappoint.

On Jan. 3, President Trump directed the U.S. military to carry out a drone strike in Iraq, killing one of Iran’s most famous and powerful generals, Qasem Soleimani. Trump justified the successful strike claiming that the Iranian was “plotting imminent and sinister attacks on American diplomats and military personnel.” This claim could be true but Sen. Rand Paul was right in stating that it spelled the “death of diplomacy” between the US and Iran while raising questions about the power of the executive branch.
