YpsiWrites establishes new writing centers for Ypsilanti community

YpsiWrites will place writing centers a locations of the Ypsilanti District Library (YDL) to extend the writing support available at EMU into the Ypsilanti community.  YpsiWrites is a collaberation between the Office of Campus & Community Writing at EMU YDL, 826 Michigan, and Washtenaw Literacy.

Design and Science exhibition visits EMU

The Design and Science exhibition had its opening reception and round table discussion at Eastern Michigan University’s Student Center. The exhibition features projects connecting design and science through models, bio-design and representations of natural data.

EMU Students Fall Under

According to MayoClinic, hypnosis, also known as hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion, is a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration. Wednesday, April 10 in the student center auditorium the comedic hypnotist Dan Lornitis came to Eastern Michigan University (EMU) to share some knowledge and laughs to the students at EMU.

The Legacy of Nipsey Hussle

On March 31, 2019, 33-year-old, American Recording Artists and Grammy nominated rapper, Nipsey Hussle tragically died.  His death was very shocking amongst the hip-hop community, his fans and throughout the Los Angeles area.

‘Much Ado’ At EMU

When friends, family and other playgoers gathered in Quirk Theatre this past Friday night, there was only the anticipation of a great opening night in the air, a held breath and hope for an entertaining rendition of one of Shakespeare’s works. By the time the curtain fell on the first evening show of the run, they were left with more than that: a discussion on gender relations, double standards and comedy in the #MeToo era. Just as Director Lee Stille, professor of theatre arts here at Eastern Michigan University, intended.
