The Eastern Michigan Police sent out an email to all students and staff Sunday afternoon about a shooting that occurred just south of campus on the 200 block of Normal Street. No injuries have been reported. Police learned that two individuals had discharged a firearm and struck a house.
On Jan. 12, Washtenaw County Prosecutor Eli Savit announced his team will not charge any cases related to marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and other psychedelics. Savit will be pushing to expunge old related cases to marijuana and these now recreational substances.

Levi Gardner, 20, began working at the Perry Child Development Center through Eastern Michigan University’s Bright Futures Program during the 2019 winter semester. Gardner will be facing many felonies in connection with the alleged assault of a 10 year old girl.
