In order to vote at the polls, you must show picture ID or sign an affidavit attesting you are not in possession of identification.

Redistricting changes Washtenaw’s ballot

Washtenaw County will now be part of District 12 after its previous district (District 15) was eliminated as a result of the 2010 census. The 2010 census showed that Washtenaw County’s population increased by about 22,000 people, bringing the total county population to around 344,791 residents.

Julea Ward’s case trial next month

The case of a former Eastern Michigan University student being dismissed from the university’s counseling program for refusing to counsel a gay client is set to go to trial next month. Julea Ward was enrolled in a counseling program at EMU where students counsel five to eight clients a semester from the general public.
