The Eastern Michigan volleyball team headed home coming into the third week of October looking to slam the breaks and stop a recent losing skid with matchups against Bowling Green on Friday, Oct. 14th, and Miami (Ohio) on Saturday, Oct. 15th.
The Eastern Michigan Volleyball team fell to Miami University at the Convocation Center on Saturday in a 3-1 match. Miami came into town undefeated against Mid-American Conference opponents and a 15-4 record altogether. With Eastern Michigan looking to halt a four game losing skid at home before heading back on the road.
Friday night the Eastern Michigan volleyball team defeated by Bowling Green University in another Middle American Conference matchup that the Eagles have found themselves on the losing end. Following a string of recent losses the Eagles looked to draw energy from being back at home following a pair of hard fought matches on the road. Despite strong support from fans and vocal local youth volleyball team the Eagles would drop the match in three sets to the Falcons.
Heading into the second week of October the Eastern Michigan Volleyball team found themselves in the middle of the pack in the West division of the Mid-American Conference and would remain there following two losses this week. With matchups against cross state rival Central Michigan and Ohio, the Eagles found themselves poised to boost their standing within the division. However, with the two losses the Eagles now find themselves located in the bottom three teams in the division while being two games below .500 in the MAC.
The Eastern Michigan volleyball team finally made its way back home following a pair of road Mid-American Conference opponent matchups last week to take on the Western Michigan Broncos Friday, Sept. 29, at 7 pm in the Convocation Center. The team was fresh off of a 1-1 weekend the week prior and looked to take more steps in the right direction.
The Eastern Michigan volleyball (6-9) took on a pair of Mid-American Conference opponents on the road this weekend. To kick off the set on Friday, the Eagles headed down to Ohio with a matchup with the Toledo Rockets (8-6). The Rockets came into the matchup with a 7-5 out of conference record, which was two games better than EMU. Despite being behind in record when entering the match the Eagles were able to take the match in five sets.
