Big fourth quarter leads to Eagles victory over Harvard

The Eastern Michigan women’s basketball team defeated Harvard University by a score of 85-81, being led by star guard Cha Sweeney who put 31 points on the board against the Crimson in Cambridge, Mass on Tuesday evening. Sweeney and Phillis Webb, who scored 18 points, led the Eagles (5-2) past the Crimson (4-5) in a comeback victory after a slow start that put Eastern Michigan behind 41-36 at halftime.

Women's basketball looks to build on an incredible 2014-2015 season by making a run at the MAC Tournament, with sights set on a berth into the NCAA Tournament,  and with talent like Cha Sweeney, Janay Morton and Chanise Baldwin, coach Tori Verdi sees realistic opportunity. 


Volleyball drops fifth straight match

The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team suffered its fifth straight loss on Friday night, dropping a match against Central Michigan University in four sets (27-25, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-20), making qualifying for the Mid-American Conference a little more difficult as the end of the season approaches.
