Campus:

A minor was issued a citation by campus police for underage drinking at 12:03 a.m. Saturday in the Sellers Residence Hall.

At 10:09 p.m. Saturday, an unknown number of subjects were cited with smoking marijuana in a room in Pittman Residence Hall.

At 12:04 a.m. Friday, a person was cited for smoking marijuana in his or her room in the Wise Residence Hall.

A forced-entry burglary occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday at the Sellers Residence Hall. Money was taken while the students in the dorm room were sleeping.

Two computer monitors were stolen from a computer lab in Mark Jefferson between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. The case was closed Friday.

A subject was arrested on suspicion of stealing a laptop from an open office in Mark Jefferson. The crime was reported Thursday night and the case was closed Friday.

An intoxicated minor was cited for underage drinking at 11:15 p.m. Thursday at the Cornell Court Apartment complex before being transported to the hospital.

Subjects spray painted the wall of the Porter building at around 11:50 p.m. Thursday. The case was closed Friday evening.

Local:

A man is being sought for felonious assault and burglary in connection with an incident that occurred Thursday in the 1000 block of East Forest Avenue in Ypsilanti Township. Deputies were called to the residence and found the suspect had broken into a shed. A neighbor witnessed the incident and confronted the suspect, who dropped several stolen items and pulled out a bronze handgun, which he pointed at the neighbor. The suspect then fled the scene, and the stolen property was recovered.

Four tires and rims were stolen off a vehicle in a private parking lot on the 1000 block of Ecorse Road between 6:39 p.m. Nov. 2 and 8 a.m. Nov. 3. Deputies responded to a larceny complaint Nov. 3, and there is no suspect in the case.

A 45-year-old Ypsilanti Township man was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of robbing an Ypsilanti Township convenience store Wednesday. Cash and cigarettes were stolen from the store at 1:29 a.m. at Rawsonville and Textile roads. Deputies were searching for the suspect in the area when a call from dispatch alerted them to a man matching the description trying to sell a carton of cigarettes near Rawsonville and Willis Roads. The man fled in his vehicle, and the police stopped him on Bunton Road, where police say they found incriminating evidence in his vehicle. The investigation was turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office.
