“Sanctum”
Starring Rhys Wakefield, Allison Cratchley, Christopher Baker; Directed by Alister Grierson
Opens tomorrow.
James Cameron’s latest project, as a producer, is a 3D adventure following a team of explorers as they delve into the depths of an uncharted cave system. The story, which was inspired by a real life experience, includes Cameron’s special 3D technology that helped “Avatar” become the highest-grossing film of all time. While it’s doubtful “Sanctum” will top “Avatar” at the box office, both Cameron and adventure fans will want to check this one out.
“The Roommate”
Starring Minka Kelly, Leighton Meester, Cam Gigandet; Directed by Christian E. Christiansen
Opens tomorrow.
Small-screen stars Kelly (“Friday Night Lights”), Meester (TV show “Gossip Girl”) and Gigandet (“Twilight”) make the jump to big-screen thriller in this new movie about a college student who finds out her roommate wants to be more than just roommates. This suspense film is a fun bet for college students everywhere because what causes more drama then anything else in college? Roommates, of course.
