Roundup: Two wrestlers eliminated in NCAA meet

EMU wrestling sent Senior David Wade and sophomore Aaron Sulzer to the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia this past weekend.

Wade and Sulzer were eliminated on day one of the tournament.

Wade took on Joseph Rizqallah (Michigan State) and Dominick Russo III (Rutgers) in the heavyweight division, but was unable to pick up a victory over either of them. Rizqallah picked up a 4-1 decision over Wade in his first matchup, while Russo took a 6-1 decision in the Wrestlebacks bracket to eliminate Wade.

Sulzer suffered a major decision to Colton Salazar (Purdue) in the championship bracket, 13-4, and lost a 5-1 decision to D.J. Meagher (Cornell) in the Wrestlebacks. *
Gymnastics*
EMU gymnastics ended its season at the MAC Championships, finishing sixth with a score 192.425. Central Michigan (195.900) was named MAC champions narrowly edging out Kent State which finished behind CMU with a 195.050. Western Michigan took third with 194.150.

Baseball and Softball
The baseball team (11-6) won its fourth-straight game on Saturday against Alma College at home.
Softball lost 1-0 Saturday in a six-inning game in the Hoosier classic against Indiana University.
