Campus:

May 22- A subject was arrested for an EMU bench warrant for seat belt violation at 3:21 p.m. on Oakwood Street.

May 23- A vehicle’s driver-side door handle was damaged at 2:05 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
Merchandise was stolen at 11:18 a.m. from the bookstore in the Student Center.
A suspect made hostile threats to a professor at 12:24 p.m. in Marshall Hall.

May 25- Narcotic paraphernalia and outstanding warrants resulted in the arrest of an individual at 2:29 a.m. on West Cross Street and College Place.
A subject was lodged in jail on an EMU bench warrant for a traffic offense at 3:18 a.m. on Oakwood Street.

May 26- Sunglasses were stolen while left unattended at 10:56 a.m. in Halle Library.
Subjects were cited for drug paraphernalia and trespassing at 7:42 p.m. in the College of Business parking structure.

May 27- A laptop was stolen from a classroom at 10:28 a.m. in Porter.
An EMU payroll check was stolen at 2:36 p.m. from Boone Hall.
Officers dispersed a large crowd of Ypsilanti High School students gathering on campus at 11:49 p.m. at the Lake House.

Local:

May 21- At about 1:30 a.m., deputies assigned to the 1000 block of Nash Ave. responded to a complaint of vandalism to a parked car. The victim told police he was inside of his home when he heard a loud noise coming from outside. He then heard glass breaking. Upon investigating, he discovered a window had been smashed out of his parked car. The victim did not see any suspects and the incident remains under investigation.
A car was vandalized at 9:30 a.m. in the 9300 block of MacArthur Boulevard. The car owner told police the car was parked outside of their home during the night. In the morning the victim discovered damage to their vehicle – a tire was slashed and window smashed.
A refrigerator, Husky air compressor, miscellaneous paint brushes and rollers, toilet bowl and tank and Porter-Cable nail gun was stolen at 12:30 p.m. from a residence in the 1200 block of Desoto Avenue. The residence was vacant at the time of the break-in.
Deputies made contact with an individual at 6 p.m. in the area of Cliffs Drive and Grove Road who was wanted for two warrants including driving with no license and possession of cocaine and marijuana.
May 22- At 1 a.m., deputies patrolling the 2200 block of Grove Road arrested a wanted man for a warrant for driving with a suspended license.
A man arrested at 7:15 p.m. in the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard had two warrants out for him including trespassing and possession of marijuana.

May 23- At 8:30 a.m., homeowners in the 500 block of Woburn Drive reported someone attempted to enter their home through a kitchen window. One of the homeowner believes the suspect heard them moving around inside of the home and fled the scene. No property was stolen.
At about 9:45 a.m., a vehicle was vandalized in a public lot in the 1700 block of East Michigan Avenue.
A vacant residence was burglarized and a Kenmore top freezer, Kenmore microwave and a General Electric dishwasher were stolen from the 1900 block of Tyler Road.
A woman was arrested at 7 p.m. for a retail fraud warrant in the area of Leforge Road and Clark Road.

May 24- An air compressor and four chrome hub covers were stolen from a parked car in the 7000 block of Raintree Drive.

May 25- An unknown quantity of alcohol and cigarettes were reported stolen from a business located in the 9000 block of Textile Road. The store owner believed the break-in occurred some time between the late evening hours of May 24 and early morning of May 25.
A Playstation 3 game console, three Playstation games, a tattoo gun and miscellaneous clothing were stolen at 3 p.m. from the 2700 block of International Drivem. The victim was not at home at the time of the incident when a suspect gained entry through a screen door to the apartment.
