Fall is the perfect season to get together with all your friends, some close family members or that special someone and do something nice inside.
So what better way to spend a quiet night indoors than to kick back and watch a good flick?
With so many choices, you might find yourself wondering which movies are good to watch and will keep your mind entertained.
A comedy, romance, thriller…How to narrow it down?
That’s where Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill” volume one comes in. This action-packed movie will only leave you longing to watch volume two. Why?
Simply because this movie holds everything you could want to see in a film: It’s packed with plenty of action, thrilling scenes, strange twists and even a little romance.
Like most of Tarantino’s movies, this movie explains the events taking place out of sequence, throwing some suspense and wonder into the mix.
“Kill Bill” starts off with the Bride, the main character whose name is unknown.
The beginning scene itself gives the viewers an insight into what they’ll be seeing, and although the movie skips around quite a bit it ultimately leads to necessary information, leaving a sense of fulfillment and understanding.
Tarantino’s casting is perfect with Uma Thurman as the Bride, making her a take-charge, kick-butt female the story bases itself around. The film also features actresses such as Vivica A. Fox and Lucy Liu, who also portray strong women who know how to fight.
“Kill Bill” offers more than just some lovely leading ladies; it gives us a different look into the world.
This movie features the legendary Hattori Hanzo.
He is known in Japanese culture for having been a samurai in the 16th century and has been depicted in many Japanese television shows and movies. Thurman’s character travels to Japan and practices sword fighting. All of these things give us insight to Japanese culture.
This film isn’t suitable for children, considering the blood and violence throughout the movie, but it is well worth a watch.
It is a must-see and a good suggestion for friends, so grab some popcorn, a warm blanket and some good company and enjoy a good night in.
