Future students will say, ‘I am TRUEMU’

Eastern Michigan University will host potential freshman and transfer students and their families Saturday, Oct. 13 for the Explore Eastern program.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the university, interact with various faculty, staff and student leaders and apply for admission free of charge.
The program begins at EMU’s Student Center and runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Campus tours will be available, including the opportunity to tour a classroom building, the Bruce T. Halle Library, the Rec/IM building and a residence hall room.

During the day, EMU faculty will be available to talk with the students about specific majors and programs, and deans from each of the university’s five colleges will give a brief presentation about programs available in their specific colleges.

Representatives from career services, leadership and involvement, housing, dining, financial aid and scholarships will also be on hand to answer questions.

Participants and guests are also invited to attend the EMU vs. Toledo football game at Rynearson Stadium Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.
Any student registered for Explore Eastern will get a free “I am TRUEMU” T-shirt and a free single game ticket, including a $3 voucher for a hot dog and soft drink.

To attend the game, the student will need to complete online registration and provide the number of guests.
