Oct. 8

A verbal argument occurred between sisters at 12:36 a.m. at Hoyt Residence Hall.

A backpack was stolen at 9:12 a.m. from the third floor of the Student Center.

Oct. 9

An iPod was reported missing from a dorm room at 12 a.m. at Best Residence Hall.

A student was allegedly using marijuana at 3:52 p.m. at Phelps Residence Hall.

A subject was arrested on a failure to appear warrant at 9:03 p.m. at Michigan Avenue and Allen Road.

An unattended purse was taken from a cafe at 9:34 p.m. at Mark Jefferson.

A student reported an unknown person keyed his car at 11:10 p.m. at the Mayhew Parking Lot. The crime occurred between Sept. 20 at 4 p.m. and Oct. 9 at 4 p.m.

Oct. 10

A roommate was assaulted at 12:55 p.m. at Walton Residence Hall.
An irate student was in an office at 3:12 p.m. at the Alexander Music Building.

An unknown subject slashed tires on a vehicle at 6:49 p.m. at the Mayhew Parking Lot.

A subject reported items stolen from the trunk of a locked vehicle at 6:56 p.m. at the Convocation Center. The crime occurred between 11:20 a.m. and 2:50 p.m.

Oct. 11

The smell of marijuana was reported in a dorm room at 12:13 a.m. at Hoyt Residence Hall.

A male was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia at 12:39 a.m. at Lowell and Saint John streets.

A roommate was involved in a physical and verbal altercation at 3:35 a.m. at Wise Residence Hall.

A homeless subject was found sleeping at 4:56 a.m. at Halle Library.

An unattended backpack and laptop were stolen at 12 p.m. at Pierce Hall.

A subject was lodged on a failure to appear warrant for driving with a suspended license at 5:13 p.m. at Oakwood Street.

Oct. 12

A subject was arrested for possessing stolen property at 5:14 p.m. at Huron River Drive.

A subject was arrested on Eastern Michigan University bench warrants for resisting police and driving with a suspended license at 5:45 p.m. at North Huron River Drive.

A minor student consumed too much alcohol and was sent to the hospital at 11:54 p.m. at Pierce Hall.

Oct. 7

A house sitter reported that a home invasion had occurred sometime overnight at the 1800 block of Parklawn in Superior Township. The front door of the home was forced open and the interior was ransacked. It is unknown what was taken at this time, and there are no suspects.

Four incidents were reported of cars being broken into on Lafayette Street and Quebec Street in Scio Township. It appears in all cases that the vehicles were left unlocked and parked in the driveways of homes. Various items were stolen, including mp3 players, sunglasses, a radar detector and other miscellaneous items. There are no suspects at this time.

Oct. 10

A suspect gained entry into a home by breaking out a basement window and ransacked the house at the 800 block of Allen Road in Ypsilanti Township. It is unknown what was taken, and there are no suspects at this time.

A burglary was reported at Value Copy at 7100 Jackson Avenue in Scio Township. A suspect used a rock to break a front door and stole the cash drawer from the register, which contained a minimal amount of money. There are no suspects at this time.
