Club Halle offers relaxation, relief

Events push students to use late library hours

Eastern Michigan University’s Student Government kicked off the annual Club Halle Sunday with free food and a massage therapist available to those in attendance.

Offered in the weeks leading up to finals each semester, Club Halle provides opportunities for test preparation and fun study breaks.
This semester, in addition to extended library hours, programs will be offered focusing on relaxation and stress relief.

To encourage students to use the library’s late-night hours, both during Club Halle and throughout the year, Student Government will be handing out free T-shirts and hoodies on random nights.

“Keeping that a 24-hour space is extremely important … and we will do all we can to make sure it isn’t taken away,” Desmond Miller, student body vice president, said in an email. “But students need to actually use it after 3 a.m. to secure its permanency.”
