Staff and Faculty to assemble for Fall Major Fest—

The Fall Major Fest event, sponsored by the University Advising and Career Development Center, will be held Monday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in the Student Center ballroom. The event is being held to help students with choosing a major, minor or both.

Research study for LGBT education and social work—

Professor of special education at EMU, John Palladino, is conducting a research study sponsored by EMU’s Center for the Study of Equality and Human Rights which focuses on the questions and concerns LGBT majors might have for internships and entry into these professions.

After-school program in Romulus needs youth instructors—

EMU is offering the Bright Futures After-School Program with Romulus High School now hiring youth instructors.

Women’s Resource Center open house—

EMU’s Women’s Resource Center will hold an open house for all female faculty, staff and students on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 4-6 p.m. in the Kiva Room of the Student Center.

The primary goal of the WRC is to focus on women’s issues and to bring support to other women at EMU.
