Student Government holds committee meetings

The Student Government Business and Finance Committee passed 15 allocations during regular committee meetings Tuesday night in the Student Center.

Club Softball was granted $350 for game-related fees.

I.M.A.G.E received $150 to bring a D.J. to an event.

N.A.A.C.P. was allocated $1,635.50 to hold an event.

Pencils of Promise at EMU was granted $1,318.45 to hold a dance-a-thon.

The Poetry Society received $1,020 for a talent show.

The Latino Student Association was allocated $232.32 to hold an event.

Women’s Ultimate Frisbee was granted $250 for game-related fees.

Eastern Michigan Roller Hockey received two allocations of $4,090 and $4,500 for game-related fees.

Righteous@EMU was allocated $1,600 to hold an event.

The United Nations Student Association was granted $2,400 to hold an event.

The Stoic Society received $465.26 to hold a service event.

Club Hockey was granted three allocations, totaling $15,000 for game-related fees.

The Internal Affairs Committee held round-table senator training. Judicial Sergeant John McAllister and Speaker of the Senate Kiera Fegan discussed decorum and procedures.

The Academic and Student Affairs Committee spoke about Club Halle.

Maya Rich, director of social justice, updated the Public Affairs Committee on Consent Week.

The regular Senate meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., Oct. 20, in the Student Center, room 320.
