News briefs Feb. 2.

The Vision Volunteer Center is going to bridge the gap between Eastern Michigan University students interested in doing volunteer work and the charities that need volunteers. Its Community Fair will be in the Student Center Ballroom Thursday, Feb. 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The International Student Resource Center is going to be meeting in 319 King Hall, Thursday, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. This student organization helps EMU students who learned English as their second language communicate and adjust to Michigan, and complete assignments if they need help. This event is open to all EMU students.

EMU Amp! is teaming up with SWOOP: The EMU Food Pantry for Friday's Empty Bowls. These student organizations are inviting EMU students to make ceramic bowls in the EMU Ceramics Studio, Feb. 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. to raise money for the SWOOP food pantry. The event is free and open to the public.

The EMU Gymnastics team will be facing Central Michigan, Friday, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5.

Friday night's movie is going to be The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2. Doors at the Student Center Auditorium open at 8:00 and 10:30 p.m.

The Eastern Michigan University Orchestra will play at Pease Auditorium, 8:00 p.m., Friday. This is free and LBC approved.

EMU’s women’s basketball team will be playing Western Michigan, Saturday, Feb. 6, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets will be $10.
