Police blotter Feb. 6

Monday, Feb. 1, 2016.

A patrol car from the Department of Public Safety was flagged down near Downing, Monday and was told about two people arguing by the meters. At 11:08 a.m., DPS found the two and broke up the argument. One of the two was an EMU student. No further action is being taken.

DPS was called to Pray-Harrold for what the EMU crime log called a “mutual combatants altercation.” This was a fight between two female EMU students. Neither wants to file charges. DPS has handed this over to the Office of Student Conduct.

The EMU Crime Log has no crimes reported for Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016.

Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016.

A 23-year-old female was pulled over at the corner of College Place and Forrest at 2:11 a.m. for a traffic violation. The officer believed she was intoxicated and conducted a field sobriety test, which she failed. She was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail.

At 9:00 p.m., a DPS officer in Downing overheard an argument and went to investigate. DPS and the crime log says the officer found five “female students in a verbal altercation.” The officer deescalated the argument and this case has been given to Student Conduct.
