Eastern Michigan University students will have an extra free movie viewing, Monday, March 14. “Good Will Hunting” will be playing in the Student Center Auditorium at 12:30 p.m. This 19-year-old movie is about a janitor at MIT with a gift for mathematics. The late Robin Williams and a very young Matt Damon star in this movie.

EMU is going to be hosting a Find Funding Workshop in 302 Halle for potential graduate students “interested in identifying funding opportunities to enhance their graduate education experience” according to the EMU calendar. Attendance is free.

College of Education students interested in Early Childhood Education will be able to explore the realities of that major Tuesday, March 15. The COE is going to be hosting an advising session in 223 Porter from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Attendance is free.

The EMU Orchestra is going to have a concert in Pease Auditorium at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday. Attendance is free and this event is LBC approved.

Michael G. Morris Chair Phillip Bowman is a professor at the University of Michigan. He will visit EMU’s Roosevelt Auditorium at noon, Wednesday, March 16. He will come from Ann Arbor to talk about “rethinking intervention strategies to promote success for black males on campus and beyond,” according to the EMU calendar. Attendance is free.

St. Patrick’s Day is Thursday, March 17. The Marketplace will be celebrating with Irish themed food from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. For $7.90 students and faculty are encouraged to celebrate the day by eating Guinness infused corn beef, Irish herb potatoes and shamrock-themed cookies, according to the EMU calendar.

Campus Life is going to bring jazz music to campus with Sky Lounge from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Thursday. This will be held in room 300 of the Student Center. Attendance is free.
