The EMU theater group Close Up is having its play, Growing Pains, at the Alexander Music Hall, Thursday, March 31. This play is about the issues contemporary college students face at EMU and campuses across the country. It is free to attend and will start at 8:00 p.m.

Eastern’s staff and students will be participating in Storytellers Lounge at 9:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Student Center, room 310. This is a two hour performance from artists, emerging writers and performers. “Eight to ten people will have the opportunity to share a real-life story,” according to Campus Life. Attendance is free.

College provides great opportunities to travel overseas. To learn how, students can attend a free information session in 103 Boone, Friday, April 1. This hour long talk will start at 11:00 a.m.

The EMU softball team will be playing Bowling Green at 3:00 p.m. Friday. The game will be free to watch at Varsity field.

Friday night’s Student Center movie will be Concussion. Will Smith has been nominated for a Golden Globe in his performance as Bennet Omalu, a doctor who connected the dots about the repercussions of repeated concussions in the NLF and exposed it as a serious problem. This movie has a 61% on rottentomatoes.com. The free showings start at 8:00 and 10:30 p.m.

The EMU softball team will be playing Bowling Green at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2. The game will be free to watch at Varsity field.

EMU’s Jazz Ensemble will be performing at Pease Auditorium at 7:30 p.m., Saturday. This is free and LBC approved.

The EMU Tennis team will be playing Ball State at the Wasik Tennis Complex, Sunday, April 3. This game is free to attend and starts at 1:00 p.m.

Low Brass music will be playing in Pease Auditorium, starting at 7:00 p.m. Professors Phil Bloomer and Don Babcock will be providing the concert. This is free to attend and is LBC approved.
