Hip hop sensation Juice WRLD, a rapper from the Chicago area whose real name is Jarad A. Higgins, was reported dead on Sunday Dec. 8 according to the Associated Press.
He died on Sunday morning due to a “medical emergency” that occurred at Midway International Airport in Chicago. According to the Associated Press, emergency officials have confirmed a 21-year-old man was transported to a hospital for cardiac arrest, where the individual was pronounced dead.
According to TMZ, witnesses have stated that he experienced a seizure shortly after his flight from California landed on Sunday morning. As of Sunday at noon, no further details are known.
Juice WRLD performed at the EMU Convocation Center last semester, on Jan. 18, 2019. As one of the most anticipated performances on campus last semester, he brought with him a roster of talented local artists.
