EMU swim and dive host annual Senior Day Extravaganza ahead of MAC Championships

Five student-athlete seniors were honored at event.

The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving program hosted its 2023 Senior Day Extravaganza on Saturday, Feb. 4, at Ann Arbor Skyline High School.

The event is held annually at the end of each season as they highlight and honor the team's senior-student athletes as well as their coaches, teammates, family and friends, marking one of the most anticipated annual traditions at EMU.

Saturday’s event at Skyline highlighted five EMU seniors: Morgan Booth, Kelsi Hill, Carlin Hudson, Abigail Wenger, and Hannah White.

It was a non-traditional meet format as the event was a non-scored inter-squad scrimmage.

To highlight the team’s 2022-23 season, the team held an overall record of 2-7 and went 1-2 in MAC play while also placing 2nd and 3rd at the Denison Invitational on Dec. 1-3.

The team will return to scheduled competition at the end of February when they travel to Bowling Green, Ohio for the MAC Championships on Feb. 23-25.
