Former EMU Eagle Dylan Drummond signs with Detroit Lions

The wide receiver had rookie minicamp tryouts with team which led to the offer.

Former Eastern Michigan University football wide receiver, Dylan Drummond, officially signed with the Detroit Lions on Monday, the team announced, after a successful rookie minicamp tryout.

Drummond, an undrafted free agent, was one of 10 players who were invited to the camp to try out for the team over the weekend. He made an impression on coaches and front office staff which led to his signing to the team’s 90-man roster.

Drummond played a total of five seasons at EMU, playing in a total of 52 games, which ties for the fourth most in EMU football history. Drummond also sits fourth all-time in most career receptions at EMU as he grabbed 183 while earning 2,028 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
