Rally in the Alley: Depot Town Cruise Night — Thursdays, July 10-31, 2025
Another evening in the series of Rally in the Alley will be taking place on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Every summer, Ypsilanti's Historic Depot Town heats up with classic cars for Cruise Nights.
The show is open to the public (no admission required) at E. Cross Street in Ypsilanti.
In addition to the three-hour car cruising, visitors can enjoy local stores, restaurants and other activities for children and adults.
Fun Fact: The Depot Town Cruise Night has been taking place on summer Thursdays since 1993.
Riverside Swings — Friday, July 11, 2025
Dance lovers of all levels can come to Riverside for swing dances.
Swing dancing is a community event in group dancing, and it is recommended for participants aged 16 and older.
Those interested in attending may come with a partner, in a group, or alone.
This event takes place from 8 to 11:30 p.m. and is divided into two parts. The first part is the free beginner lesson, which begins at 8 and ends at 9 p.m. The second is an open dance session that starts at 9 and ends at 11:30 p.m.
Entrance is $5 for general admission and $4 for students. To take advantage of the lower admission price, students must come with student status proof, such as their school ID.

Ypsilanti Community Schools Jazz in the Parking Lot — Saturday, July 12, 2025
The YCS Jazz Concert has become a nine-year tradition for the Ypsilanti community and visitors.
Attendees can enjoy live jazz music, a DJ performance, and Hustle dancing on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shadford Field parking lot, located at 2095 Packard Road in Ypsilanti.
This year, the event features special guest and international vocal recording artist Athena Johnson.
Attendees are advised to arrive at 6 p.m., an hour before the performance begins, and bring a chair to sit on while they enjoy the music.
Attendees may also want to stop by one of the nearby stores or restaurants.
