Men’s basketball

March 3, 2026 vs. University at Buffalo

  • Tale: These two teams met once last season, with the Eagles coming out on top, 90-77. Historically, however, the Eagles have struggled on the road against Buffalo, holding an away record of 3-14.
  • Tip: Freshman guard Gregory Lawson II scored a career-high 29 points against the undefeated Miami University in their matchup Feb. 24, 2026. Lawson has grown into a top player for the Eagles and is someone to keep an eye on in this matchup against Buffalo.

March 6, 2026 vs. Bowling Green State University

  • Tale: Earlier this season, Eastern Michigan suffered a tough 79-85 road loss to the Bowling Green Falcons. The two teams will now face each other once more as the Eagles try to even the score.
  • Tip: Sophomore forward Godslove Nwabude had a strong presence in the paint against Miami, securing 10 rebounds and five blocks. The 6-foot-9 forward is looking to deliver another standout performance.

March 4, 2026 vs. Ohio University

March 9-11, 2026: NCAA Zone C Diving Championships

  • Tale: The 2026 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships will be held at Eastern Michigan University’s Jones Natatorium in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
  • Tip: Only athletes who meet the required qualifications will be invited to the Zone C Diving Championships. A list of qualified athletes will be released closer to the competition date.

Women’s gymnastics

March 8, 2026: Ohio State Quad

  • Tale: This meet will mark the first time the Eagles gymnastics team faces North Carolina State University.
  • Tip: The Eagles will compete against NC State, Penn State University and Ohio State University in the Ohio State Quad. They look to secure their first-ever wins over both Penn State and Ohio State.
  • Where to watch: Fans can tune in to B1G+ to watch the Eagles compete.

Baseball

March 3, 2026 vs. the University of Notre Dame

  • Tale: The Eastern Michigan baseball team has played Notre Dame 10 times, with their first matchup occurring March 10, 2001. The Eagles’ best performance in the series was an 8-0 shutout victory in 2016.
  • Tip: Nathan Borchardt and Ty Stecko are both batting above .300 and will be crucial in securing a road win.

March 6-8, 2026 vs. Miami University

  • Tale: The most recent meeting between these teams ended in a 19-12 win for Eastern Michigan.
  • Tip: A player the Eagles’ pitching staff will need to focus on is Tommy Harrison, who leads Miami in batting average at .409.

March 8, 2026 vs. the University of Cincinnati

  • Tale: These teams met for the first time last season, with Cincinnati earning a 13-9 victory.
  • Tip: Senior Mackenzie Blackwell, the 2025 MAC Attacker of the Year, is looking to continue her scoring surge as the Eagles’ current goal leader.

Women’s tennis

March 4, 2026 vs. the University of North Florida

  • Tale: The only meeting between Eastern Michigan and North Florida took place in 2006 and ended in a 5-2 win for North Florida.
  • Tip: The Eagles are looking to add a win to their record as they head to Jacksonville, Florida, to face North Florida.

March 9, 2026: GameAbove Golf Invite

  • Tale: Eastern Michigan is coming off a second-place finish at the Alice and John Wallace Invitational. Sisters Janae and Jasmine Leovao tied for fourth place and went on to share the MAC Women’s Golfer of the Week honor.
  • Tip: The Eagles will compete in a strong field of 10 other teams, including the University of Oregon, Texas A&M University and the University of California, Los Angeles.
