The four suspects in the armed robbery and attempted car-jacking that took place around 9 p.m. on the 700 block of Congress St have been identified, and three have been arrested, according to Eastern Michigan University’s department of public safety.
Self Defense Training— A free self defense training class will be offered on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 7-9 p.m. in room 208 at the Warner Gym, and Thursday, Jan. 30 from 7-9 p.m. Gym B Warner at Eastern Michigan University. Jan. 18 Police encountered a man yelling with a beer can in his hand at Ballard and West Cross streets at 8:38 p.m. Officers calmed the man down and found that he had warrants out for his arrest. The man was too inebriated to be taken to jail, so police released him to the hospital with a citation for drunkenness.
