MDE Awards 10 Cents a Meal Grants to Washtenaw Area Food Service Programs

The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) passes the 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan’s Kids & Farms program so that kids will have access to a nutritious meal. Included in the program is Ypsilanti Public Schools, which has been awarded a $15,000 grant for the 2020-21 school year.

Eastern Michigan University students launch job search website to fill roles at small businesses in the Ypsilanti and the Downriver community

Ypsilanti house shooting occurs south of campus; no injuries reported

The Eastern Michigan Police sent out an email to all students and staff Sunday afternoon about a shooting that occurred just south of campus on the 200 block of Normal Street. No injuries have been reported. Police learned that two individuals had discharged a firearm and struck a house.
