Student Government Discusses Parking, Handicap Door Access

 Student Government held a meeting on March 5 in McKenny Hall, with 13 Senators present. Discussion included a handicap door audit, an expansion of the parking lot time limit, reallocating the budget to increase funds for student organizations and creating a Martin Luther King Jr. poetry scholarship.

Stepping off the sixth-floor elevators in Pray-Harrold, a laugh erupts which seems to be contagious. Following the laugh, a smile and bubbly personality emerges that brings smiles from everyone around. Senior Secretary for the English Language and Literature department, Shayna White, is relied on by many.

EMU Student Affairs Committee discusses Professional Development, Residence Housing Association

During the Student Affairs Committee meeting, the Board of Regents received presentations Thursday, Feb. 7 from the Student Affairs Professional Development, Diversity and Community Involvement (DCI), and Residence Hall Association (RHA). These brief presentations consisted of an overview and updates that each organization has improved to help better the student community here at Eastern.

Eastern Michigan University held its Board of Regents Education Policies Committee meeting Thursday, Feb. 7 at 9:45 a.m., one of five committee meetings prior to the full Board of Regents meeting at 1:30 p.m. later that day.
