Brunei, a small country in Southeast Asia, is being boycotted worldwide following extreme anti-LGBTQ laws including punishments such as being stoned to death for being gay.

On March 28, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order nullifying approved construction of a tunnel encased oil pipeline underneath the Straits of Mackinac. Once completed in seven to ten years, Enbridge’s Line 5 oil pipeline would have been decommissioned.

Despite making over $8.1 billion in profit after taxes in 2018, General Motors is planning to close five plants in the United States, including the plant in Detroit-Hamtramck. The decision to cut costs was made to save the company $6 billion by 2020 and the company plans to open new plants in Mexico.
