With Eastern Michigan University (1-7, 0-4 Mid-American Conference) losing its seventh straight game last week, maybe a little bit of quarterback controversy can bring some excitement to fans headed into this week.



Soccer beats Akron Zips, 4-1 on Senior Day

The Eastern Michigan University (10-6-2, 7-2-1 Mid-American Conference) women’s soccer team sent its five seniors out on top, beating the University of Akron Zips 4-1 in the final home game of the regular season at Scicluna Field on Sunday.

B-24's offers a variety of coffee and sandwiches

Just a 15-minute walk from Eastern Michigan University’s campus on Michigan Avenue is B-24’s Espresso Bar. If it’s too cold to spend 15 minutes walking, hop on the bus to the College of Business. B-24’s is across the street, and a quick stop to pick up a hot coffee or a sandwich.

Lynch broke a Football Bowl Subdivision quarterback record with 316 rushing yards on 32 carries. He also ran in three touchdowns and threw for 155 yards and another touchdown. He’s fourth in the FBS with 932 rushing yards and ranks first among quarterbacks.


Highland Cemetery offers lantern-lit tours in honor of Halloween

To make the tour more authentic, the only light provided is by a hand-held fuel lantern. During the tour, you are advised to watch your step, as you might trip over a tombstone. Highland cemetery is the resting place of many individuals who have had a great impact on Ypsilanti, including Mary Starkweather. Throughout the tour, James Mann explains the history behind the cemetery, using witty humor to also explain how some of the 15,000 “residents” passed.
