Women’s Resource Center to present ‘Vagina Monologues’ in Student Center

Nineteen years ago, Eve Ensler’s creation, “The Vagina Monologues,” started from a conversation with a close friend over womanly dilemmas. As the subject switched to vaginas, her friend’s unfavorable outlook on her lady parts was quite peculiar and made Ensler evaluate how she felt about her own. This revelation made her wonder how women thought of their vaginas, and their personal testimonies would channel a perspective on discussing womanhood and sexuality.

Eagle football adds 21 new recruits

Wednesday was one of the biggest college football holidays of the year: National Signing Day. At 7 a.m., National Letters of Intent were finally allowed to be submitted to the schools where thousands of players from high school stars to college transfers were able to officially declare where they will be playing college football in the fall of 2013.

Eagles coming off road loss, look to beat Buffalo Bulls

The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team is setting its sights on the University of Buffalo Bulls. Coming off a 77-62 loss to Kent State Saturday, the Eagles will be facing a Bulls squad that also lost on Saturday, 71-60, to the Western Michigan University Broncos.

The Eastern Michigan University men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the 2013 Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Ind., at the University of Notre Dame over the weekend. This was the first out-of-state meet for both EMU teams, and was also a non-scoring event.

Wrestling earns first MAC win

The Eastern Michigan University men’s wrestling team posted their first win in the Mid-American Conference when they defeated the Northern Illinois University Huskies Saturday in DeKalb, Ill. With the 22-17 win, the Eagles improved to 7-10 overall and 1-2 in the MAC.
