For those who didn’t know, Eastern Michigan’s women’s basketball team became the first fifth seed to make an appearance in the Mid American Conference tournament. It did so by sending the No. 1-seeded Toledo home Friday and played in the championship game Saturday.

Defense helps Eagles beat Huskies 62-35

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team overtook Northern Illinois University on its way to a 62-35 win Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center. The Eagles are 18-9 and 9-4 in the Mid-American Conference. The Huskies are 11-15 and 5-8 in the MAC.
