This historic milestone follows a record-breaking second-place finish at the 2026 Mid-American Conference Championships, where the Eagles posted their best-ever conference tournament score and saw three individuals place in the top 10.

'30 Under 30' coach Antreal Allen named new cornerbacks coach at Eastern Michigan

Eastern Michigan University football has added rising coaching talent Antreal Allen as its new cornerbacks coach. Allen brings with him a reputation for defensive discipline and player development recognized by the 247Sports.com “30 Under 30” list. With experience at University of West Georgia and Georgia State University, Allen aims to strengthen the Eagles’ secondary ahead of spring practice and reinforce the program’s emphasis on turnovers, pass efficiency defense, and holistic athlete growth.

Jasmine Jones ends a four-decade drought: From the track to Olympic bronze on the ice

On Feb. 21, 2026, Jasmine Jones won bronze in the two-woman bobsleigh competition at the Winter Olympics in Cortina, Italy, marking Eastern Michigan University’s first U.S. Olympic medal in 42 years and its first ever on the ice. The former EMU track standout’s historic podium finish alongside Kaillie Armbruster Humphries ended a drought dating back to Earl Jones in 1984 and cemented her place among the university’s all-time Olympic greats.
