With just a few days until the women’s soccer season kicks off in earnest and the football and women’s volleyball campaigns not far behind, here are a couple of the top storylines to look forward to as the fall sport season begins.

Eastern Michigan Athletics Hall of Fame reveals class of 2025 inductees

Meet the five men and women who have been selected via the Eastern Michigan E-Club Alumni Chapter, the official varsity athletic letterwinners club, as the latest inductees into the school’s Hall of Fame. All are set to be honored during the Hall of Fame ceremony on Oct. 10, 2025, in the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

EMU football alums Gunnar Oakes, Brian Dooley find pro success with UFL’s Michigan Panthers

Going to high school just 10 minutes apart from each other, it seemed to be destiny that Brian Dooley's and Gunnar Oakes’ paths would cross at some point. The two high school football standouts saw this happen at Eastern Michigan University, where they both suited up for the Eagles between 2018-22. Now, just a few short years later, they have reunited to play for Michigan’s United Football League team, the Panthers.

Eastern Michigan track & field sends eight to NCAA East First Round Meet

Five men and three women in the Eastern Michigan track and field program will fly the flag for the green and white in Jacksonville, Florida, later this week. Gabe Singh, Brendan Hill, Lucky Fiaku, Jake McEachern and Kian Wiles headline the men’s Eagles that will compete in the NCAA East Prelims that begin the morning of May 28, while Micah Martin, Saraiah Walkes and Isabella Brent will lead the women into competition beginning May 29.

Eastern Michigan baseball sees MAC Tournament hopes dashed with loss to Ball State, 6-5

With a loss to Ball State University, Eastern Michigan University's hopes of playing in the second round of the Mid-American Conference tournament have been dashed. A three hour and 17 minute weather delay zapped away any momentum that Eastern Michigan had built up, and Ball State pounced on the opportunity, scoring three unanswered runs of their own over the next three innings to hold on and knock off the Eagles 6-5.
