After losing to the Chippewas on Jan. 17, the Eagles were able to outscore them for the first time since 2008. At the Michigan/Illinois Challenge, the Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team came out on top to beat Central Michigan University, University of Illinois-Chicago and Illinois State University. The Eagles and Chippewas also paired up to take down the Illinois teams.

The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team dominated their meet Saturday against Bowling Green University. The Eagles led in every event and the final score was 195.25 to 192.425. This was the first time since 2004 that the gymnastics team scored more than 195 points. With this victory the Eagles are now 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference.

The weekly gymnastics rankings were released by the NCAA today. Last week the Eagles were ranked 24th in the nation following a team score of 193.925. This week, the Eagles dropped to 31st in the nation and remained 1st in the Mid-American Conference following a 194.575 meet in Mt. Pleasant.

After being ranked 24th in the nation Jan. 12, Eastern Michigan University's gymnastics team scored 194.575 in the tri-meet with Central Michigan University and Seattle Pacific University on Saturday. The Eagles were able to beat SPU who scored 187.250, but fell to their MAC rival, who scored 195.875.
