If you’re like me and have a fantasy team that is currently riddled with injuries and unfortunate bye weeks, then you’ve probably already been shopping the waiver wire desperately looking for help. Our leagues might not be the same in terms of who is available, but I’ve gathered a good list of six players that could give your team a boost if you can pick them up off of waivers.

While sitting on my couch watching Michigan’s season opener against Minnesota, I couldn’t help but feel like the team I was watching was much different than years past. Both sides of the ball played with speed and aggression while still keeping their cool under pressure. Joe Milton looked as calm as a 4th year starter, and while the defense wasn’t perfect, they made huge plays when it mattered. I can’t help but to be intrigued with what the rest of the schedule has to offer them, especially with Wisconsin being a big question mark at the moment with their COVID-19 issues.

With MAC football now confirmed to return, schedule’s have been dropping left and right for the Mid American Conference teams that are ready to get back in the hunt for a MAC title and bowl game contention. Among these teams are our beloved Eagles, and although I’m happy to see them return, I am disheartened by their schedule.

In a press release Friday, the Eastern Michigan Athletic Department announced that in conjunction with the Mid-American Council of Presidents the school will play a six-game football season beginning in November. The Big Ten shocked the world last week when it announced that it was going to return to play an altered eight game season after cancelling their scheduled season in August due to COVID-19 concerns. The Big Ten season will run late October through early December, and end a week before the Big Ten title game. Since football is back in the midwest, could this mean the MAC will return too?

Last week I wrote an article about three teams I thought could over perform during the 2020 NFL season. I wanted to also include three teams I thought could underperform, but after thinking about it for a while, I decided that this topic deserved it’s own article. We talked about optimism and positivity last week, but now it’s time for a bit of pessimism with the teams I’m going to discuss.

The 2020 NFL season is set to get underway Thursday, Sept. 10, when the defending Super Bowl Champions, Kansas City, take on the Houston Texans. A full slate of NFL games will follow on Sunday and Monday night, which has me almost drooling. Fans, including myself, have been so starved for football that this Thursday feels like an actual holiday.

In our long absence of football, I have found there’s much larger buzz around the fantasy football scene.

The NFL season is almost upon us, and with it comes another season of fantasy football. Whether you play with friends or with strangers, fantasy football is a fun way to stay involved with players around the NFL while trying to build the greatest team possible. I’ve been grinding fantasy seasons out for the past 12 years, and have honed the art of drafting a team into somewhat of a skill. In order to put my experience to good use, I’ve put together a comprehensive list of a few sleeper picks I think could really help you out in the upcoming fantasy football season.

Philadelphia Eagles’ wide receiver DeSean Jackson made headlines earlier this month over his use of anti-semitic comments on his Instagram story. Jackson has since issued an apology and says that his comments were taken “the wrong way.” With the way race is being handled in the NFL at the moment, Jackson’s comments are a large step in the wrong direction.

Over the course of the past few seasons, the Washington Redskins have faced scrutiny over the mascot of their team. So much so, in fact, that their stadium sponsor, FedEx, has asked them to change their mascot, and Nike has removed all Redskins gear from their website.

Earlier this week, the NFL put out the 2020 schedule for all 32 teams. This is quite exciting, as it could allude to the NFL thinking that they will be able to play in the Fall, COVID-19 or not. There are many primetime matchups to watch out for this season, like Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans and Kansas City vs. Baltimore. However, today I’ll only be talking about the Detroit Lions and predicting their exact win-loss record for the upcoming 2020 season.

Over the course of the past week the NFL Draft took place in the form of a video-conference which was nationally televised. For sports fans everywhere, myself included, the draft was a much needed fill for our hunger for sports.
