Miraculous makeup stretches a dollar for beautiful results

Makeup is supposed to be fun, but there’s nothing more frustrating than spending your hard- earned money on a product that fails to deliver on its promise. Not to worry though, I’ve compiled a list of beauty products that seem to work miracles for me on a daily basis. Here are some of my must-haves:

Bare Ecsentuals bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation – $26

This foundation is perfect for my sensitive skin. While most beauty products contain harsh chemicals that contribute to acne, bareMinerals SPF 15 foundation contains pure ingredients. So, it’s actually good for your skin.

What I love about this foundation is the easy application, buildable coverage and the amazing variety of shades available. Those with oily skin might want to consider purchasing the matte formula of bareMinerals SPF 15 foundation ($28).

Tip: Use Bare Escentuals full flawless face brush ($28) to apply the foundation.

Bare Ecsentuals Mineral Veil – $20

Set your foundation with Bare Escentuals mineral veil to achieve that perfect finish. Mineral veil is lightweight and oil-absorbent, making it an excellent choice for touching up your makeup throughout the day. There are a variety of formulas to choose from: illuminating (dewy finish), hydrating (for dry skin), tinted (hint of color) and original (completely sheer). Ideal for all skin tones.

Tip: Use Bare Escentuals flawless application face brush ($22) to apply the mineral veil.

LORAC 3-in-1 Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil – $18

Over the winter break, I was lucky enough to find an eyeliner that actually works. After years of accepting less-than-perfect eye makeup, I was ready for a change.

It’s creamy, pigmented and waterproof. What more could I ask for? LORAC 3-in-1 waterproof eyeliner pencil is available in three luscious colors: ultra black, chocolate (brown) and aubergine (plum).

Tip: Set eyeliner with powder to prevent smudging.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact – $39

Give your cheeks and eyes some much-needed glow this winter season. Handmade in Italy, Bobbi Brown shimmer brick compact contains five iridescent colors that work together to create a soft, beautiful glow. These are available in a variety of shades. Those with fair skin should try rose, nectar or pink quartz. Beige or bronze would work best on those with olive or deeper skin tones. Get ready to glow.

Tip: Use sparingly. Don’t go overboard with shimmery products. Remember, less is more.

Philosophy Lip Shines – $10

There are a lot of reasons why I love and adore Philosophy lip shines. The variety of colors is amazing, the shine is incredible and the flavors are scrumptious. Philosophy lip shines also contain sunflower seed oil and vitamin E to hydrate dry lips.

Tip: Exfoliate your lips one or two times a week. This will help to prevent dry, chapped lips. Apply lip balm afterward.

All of these products can be purchased at Sephora stores or sephora.com.
