On Wednesday Sept. 21 an informational meeting for Coming Out, Being Out will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Center, Rm 350. Also coffee with EMU's Chief Information Officer will be held in Halle Library from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Rm 301.
Also Wellness Woof Wednesday will take place this Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. on the first floor of the Snow Health Center. Participants get to hang out with licensed therapy dogs.
On Thursday Sept. 22 Soul Speak: Women of Color Support Group will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Student Center, Kiva Room. Spaces are still open for Exploring Power in Ypsilanti's Landscapers: A Community Conversation Walking Tour. The tour will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The group will be departing from the Student Center, Rm 346.
Latin Night is from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Dance lessons and live music will be included in the Latin celebration. '
Sky Lounge is open Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Rm 300 of the Student Center. The lounge plays jazz music and has a unique club atmosphere.
Sept. 22 is also the kick off of Pop-X which is a pop art festival in Ann Arbor. Pop-X is a 10 day art festival made up of various events and numerous displays of pop up style artwork. The festival begins at 2 p.m. near Liberty Plaza.
On Monday, Sept. 26 State Senator Rebekah Warren will be coming to EMU to host a coffee hour. The coffee hour is from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 pm in the Student Center, Rm 203.
Events included are free and open to the public.
The deadline for Homecoming Court applications is Tuesday, Sept 26. The applications can be turned in to the Campus Life office located in the Student Center.
