EMU events week of Nov. 27

Monday, Nov 7th

Eastern Michigan University Volunteer Center and the Nonprofit (VISION) will be collecting unwrapped gifts until Dec. 2. The guidelines are: Pick a tag from a Holiday Sharing Tree located in the Student center, Halle Library, or Pray Harrold. Shop for a toy that fulfills the wish on the tag you've chosen then drop it off from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. in Student Center Rm 346.

Tuesday, Nov 29th

WEMU will be hosting it’s second annual open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m in King Hall Multicultural Lounge . There will be live jazz music, cookies and hot chocolate, and station tours.

Study Abroad application workshop from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Boone Hall Rm 103. Instructors will explain financial aid and how to apply for the different programs.

EMU Jazz and EMU Percussion ensembles are putting on a concert in Pease Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday, Dec 1st

EMU is putting together their annual holiday video from 11 a.m. to p.m. in the Student Center across from the Bookstore. Participants are suggested to bring their favorite holiday attire, dance moves and a smile.

Soul Speak: Women of Color Support Group will be hosted from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Kiva Room of the Student Center. This group will help women of color connect with others who share unique struggles while at EMU. It offers a safe, supportive, and encouraging space to learn more about yourself and be empowered.

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. & The Phoenix presents Ridiculousness! The hit MTV comedy show of viral videos comes to EMU! You're going to be laughing your butt off so come out and enjoy! The event starts at 9:14 p.m. in the Student Center Auditorium.

Friday, Dec 2nd

Enjoy some old songs you haven't heard in awhile from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Student Center Rm 300. Students will be able to sign up to perform some of those old songs.

EMU’s winter ballet, Midsummer Night's Dream has two showings on Friday, Dec 2. Matinee Children's Concert will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and the evening performance at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors, and $6 for youth.
