February upcoming campus events

On Jan. 31, Officer Dorsey, EMU Department of Public Safety, will be teaching a self-defense class from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m in the Student Center, Ballroom B. 

On Feb. 1, EMU is hosting its 2017 Internship Fair from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

On Feb. 2, CMA is partnering with other campus organizations to host Hustle Your Heart Out, an event geared towards teaching the hustle and making a difference. The event is from 7 p.m. until 12 a.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

EMU’s Symphony Orchestra Winter Concert will take place Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in Pease Auditorium. Free entry.

Also Feb. 3, the EMU Women’s Center will be putting on its third annual "Our Voices" show from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m in the Recital Hall of the Alexander Music Building. The show consists of a series of monologues performed by women depicting the experiences women go through. 

On Monday Feb. 6, Stigma and Fear End Now (SAFE Now) is partnering with Diversity and Community Involvement and the Disability Resource Center to host, “I Am Hope,” a solo performance by Mia Raye Smith about overcoming anxiety. The performance is from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the McKenny Hall Ballroom.
