Ypsilanti 4th of July Parade - Friday, July 4, 2025

All people are welcome to celebrate Independence Day in Ypsilanti with the city’s traditional 4th of July parade.

The parade begins in Oakwood & Cross Street at 11 a.m., and ends at the Historic Depot Town at Rice Street. 

Attending is free, and participants can bring their lawn chairs to sit comfortably while the celebration is on.  

Fun Fact: On July 4, 2025, the United States of America will turn 249 years old because the Declaration of Independence happened on July 4, 1776. 

First Friday Food Court - Friday, July 4, 2025

Growing Hope and First Fridays Ypsilanti host the summer monthly food event at the  Marketplace Hall on Independence Day. 

The family-friendly event offers diverse eats, including food that is vegan or vegetarian.

The First Friday Food Court is open between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and the admission is free. 

The Marketplace Hall is located at 16 S Washington St., Marketplace Hall in Ypsilanti.

Additional dates are on Fridays, Sept. 9, 2025, and Oct. 3, 2025.

First Fridays Ypsilanti started in 2013, and since then the organization has been aiming to connect local artists and businesses. 

Growing Hope is a nonprofit organization that aims to communicate the local produce of Ypsilanti to the public and create opportunities for people of the community to meet up over food. See The Echo’s story about Growing Hope. 

Paradise Falls – Saturday, July 5, 2025

Tipsy Ypsi Studio hosts a paint party experience themed Paradise Falls by the artist Miguel, and invites art lovers to enjoy time with paintings and friends.

The art event is available for adults 18 plus.

The three-hour public event occurs on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Tipsy Ypsi Studio recommends showing up only within 30 minutes before the event.

The studio is located at 5 South Washington Street in Ypsilanti.

Tickets are limited and cost $45 per person.

A Flower Bar Experience - Sunday, July 6

The Lattes & Bouquets is a bouquet bar experience event hosted by Swanky Lady Couture & Bridge Community Cafe

On Sunday, July 6, people are invited to join and have their favorite drink and craft a bouquet. 

The flowers are from local produce, and the materials to create the boutique are provided in the place. 

The event begins at 11 a.m., and guests can join in at any time until it ends at 2 p.m. 

 Ticket prices range from $23.18 for a Bouquet Bar of Brown paper wrap finish to $28.52 for a Bouquet Bar of Glass vase finish. 

Purchasing tickets ends on July 6, 2025.

The Radical Henna Artist will show up at the event and will perform henna service. The henna services can be purchased separately.
