The Eastern Michigan University women’s rowing squad made program history Saturday, April 4, 2026, during a competitive home regatta at the EMU Rowing Course on Ford Lake. The Eastern Michigan University baseball team entered Scott Park Thursday, April 2, riding the momentum of a six-game winning streak. However, that momentum was abruptly halted by the University of Toledo in a 10-2 series-opening loss. John Carmichael took the mound for his eighth start of the season, delivering a season-high 6.0 innings of work. While Carmichael limited the Rockets to four earned runs through those six frames, the Eagles were undone by a late-inning offensive surge and defensive miscues.

Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death in women; however, it’s only the eleventh most common cancer in women, according to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. This May, the Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance will be hosting a Mother’s Day Time to Teal Run/Walk to raise money for ovarian cancer research.

Eastern Michigan University officially launched its 2026 outdoor track and field season with a strategic split-squad effort during the weekend of March 26-28. The team divided its roster between the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational in Coral Gables, Florida, and the prestigious Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina. This ambitious opening schedule allowed the Eagles to test their mettle against diverse and high-level competition, ultimately yielding a combined total of 22 personal bests and seven marks that now rank within the program's all-time top 10.
